Serrated trench covers are steel grating panels with a saw‑tooth pattern on the bearing bars. This texture gives them much better grip than flat bars, so people are less likely to slip when the surface is wet, icy, or oily.

We start with Serrated Trench Covers welded or press‑locked steel grating, then roll a serrated profile onto the top of each bearing bar. The teeth run across the bar, not along it, so you get grip in both directions. A wastewater plant in Shanghai installed these on their outdoor walkways three years ago. Before that, they had two or three slip accidents every winter. Since switching to serrated covers, they have had none. The grating still holds heavy loads – the teeth do not weaken the bar. You can order them in carbon steel (hot‑dip galvanized for outdoor use), Serrated Trench Covers, or even aluminum.
