Description

The Passive Slope Protection Net is a flexible barrier system consisting of steel wire rope nets (or ring nets), support ropes, steel posts, anchor systems, and energy dissipators. It is installed on slopes to intercept falling rocks or restrain coarse particles in debris flows. The Passive Slope Protection Net complies with TB/T3089-2004.

Product Advantages (Data-Supported)

Corrosion resistance

Uncoated galvanized steel wire rope provides ≥30 years service life under normal atmospheric conditions (per TB/T3089-2004). PE-coated option reduces corrosion rate in aggressive environments (e.g., pH 4–6, chloride >200 mg/m²/day) with approximately 8–12% tensile strength reduction per ISO 9223.

Small rock retention

Optional inner galvanized wire grid (aperture 50×50 mm, wire diameter 2.2 mm) retains fragments down to 50 mm diameter without affecting main net flexibility.

Standard compliance

Full system tested per TB/T3089-2004 drop-weight impact test method; energy dissipation devices calibrated via force-displacement curves (pressure ring stroke up to 500 mm for RXI-200).

Installation access

All components (posts, nets, anchors) weigh ≤35 kg per piece, enabling manual transport on slopes >45° without heavy machinery.

FAQ

Q1: What is the technical difference between RX and RXI series nets?

A: RX series uses double-twist wire rope net (D0/08/xxx) with mesh aperture of 250/200/150 mm, respectively. RXI series uses ring net (R5/3/300 to R19/3/300) constructed from high-tensile steel wire rings (wire diameter 3 mm, ring outer diameter 300 mm). The ring net provides higher energy dissipation per unit area due to multi-ring deformation capacity.

Q2: What is the standard test method for rated interception energy?

A: Per TB/T3089-2004, each model is validated by dropping a concrete block of specified mass and velocity at mid-span between two posts. The system passes if no component fracture exceeds 5% of net area and residual clearance meets site requirements.

Q3: What are the anchor specifications for the RXI-200 model?

A: RXI-200 requires double corrosion-protected anchors (minimum 2×φ16 mm galvanized wire rope anchors or φ25 mm grouted rebar anchors) at each post base. Pull-out resistance shall be ≥150 kN per anchor in competent rock (UCS >30 MPa). For soil slopes, extended anchor lengths (≥6 m) or micropile foundations are required – custom design necessary.

Q4: What is the maximum standard interception energy of the Passive Slope Protection Net?

A: The maximum standard interception energy among standard configurations is 2,000 kJ, achieved by the RXI-200 model. Higher energy levels (up to 5,000 kJ) are available via custom design.
